RZIM Canada Releases Essential Resource to Explore Canadians’ Burning Questions
Six-part documentary series to be available on DVD November 10, 2014

TORONTO—Nov. 10, 2014— In October 2014, Ravi Zacharias International Ministries Canada’s (RZIM) inaugural documentary series, Burning Questions enjoyed a successful exclusive six-week television run on YES TV. For those wanting to take the experience further and explore their own ‘burning questions’, RZIM has chosen to make the six-episode series available on DVD to the Canadian market on November 10, 2014.

“The success of the televised documentary series tells me that the challenging questions we’ve addressed truly are questions burning in the hearts and minds of people across Canada,” said Dr. Andy Bannister, RZIM’s Canadian Director.

In order to make the series very accessible, RZIM has also developed a free downloadable study guide which is designed to accompany each of the documentary episodes.

“My hope is that through the DVD and free study guide release, we’ll be able to better resource churches, small groups, neighbours, campus groups and faith communities to think clearly through the questions and explore the answers together” said Dr. Bannister. “We’ve continued to invest in this initiative as a relevant way to extend our mission of helping the believer think and the thinker believe.”

About Burning Questions
Over decades of speaking engagements, debates and forums on university campuses, Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) staff have fielded countless questions on matters of faith. In the six-part series, Dr. Andy Bannister, RZIM’s Canadian Director, explores six challenging questions that people are actually asking about faith, not what Christians think they’re asking.

Burning Questions was carefully developed by RZIM over 18 months with the intent to create a tool to generate respectful, thoughtful dialogue on key faith questions, engaging both skeptics and seekers. Rather than providing pat answers, in the documentary series, Dr. Bannister interviews credible global experts from a wide range of backgrounds – leading atheists, passionate Muslims and convinced Buddhists – on these questions that transcend culture.

Questions addressed include:

• Is there a God?
• If so … why is there evil and suffering?
• Has science eliminated religion?
• There are thousands of different religions: which one is true?
• Can we take the Bible seriously, or is it just a myth?
• Who was Jesus of Nazareth and does it matter?

RAVI ZACHARIAS INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES ANSWERS “BURNING QUESTIONS”

Dr. Andy Bannister Presents Six- Part Documentary Series Launching October 5, 2014

TORONTO—Oct. 1, 2014— Over decades of speaking engagements, debates and forums on university campuses, Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) staff have fielded countless questions on matters of faith. Beginning on Oct. 5, 2014, RZIM Canada will respond through its documentary series, Burning Questions, premiering on YES TV.

Rather than providing pat answers, in the six documentary episodes, Dr.

The questions chosen for the series have profound implications because they affect so many other areas of life: for instance, whether or not life has meaning, purpose or hope. “These six questions have proven to truly be burning questions for those we engage regularly. They are real questions, from real people,” says Dr. Bannister. “My hope is that, by creating this documentary series, we’ve provided a strong tool for churches, small groups, neighbours, campus groups and faith communities to think clearly through the questions and explore the answers together. We have invested in this initiative as a relevant way to extend our mission of helping the believer think and the thinker believe.” Burning Questions is RZIM’s inaugural documentary series, produced by Talon Productions, exclusively featured on YES TV, and distributed by Tricord Media. The series will air during YES TV’s weekly documentary feature, The Doc Side, on Sundays from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., starting Oct. 5, 2014.
